Summer to Fall Nail Colors 2012

We are in between Summer and Fall trends, some fall popping up and some summer refusing to fade.

In So. Fla it is a bit “anything goes” with colors {bright is always in}.

These are my current nail color picks. Koliary and Mermaids Dream are great for getting in the last bit of summer. Storm Bird and Bad Romance are great first “Fall feel” shades. Mercury Twilight and Good as Gold are favorite metallics for any time of year.

 {Nars Thakoon Koliary}

{Layla Mercury Twilight Holo}

{DL Mermaids Dream}

{Essie Good as Gold}

Greek Pasta Salad

I would eat this every single day for lunch if I had the time to chop chop chop  all the veggies twice a week. It is healthy and just filling enough to get back to your day with energy. {This dish would be nonexistent to me if Peter didn’t teach me to chop veggies super small with great German knives. He and his family are an inspiration for my cooking.}

Sesame Seared Tuna with Ponzu Vinaigrette

I promised a recipe for tuna {since we recently caught it fresh in Cabo} and here it is! This is a quick, healthy lunch or dinner dish with lots of potential creative options.

The key is good quality tuna steaks, of course, and a great cold sake to pair it with.

I’m potentially going to try sushi next. I have everything I need, but I am slightly intimidated by eating the tuna we caught ourselves completely raw. The whole “I saw that guy swimming thing” usually makes people enjoy their food more. Me, not so much.

And can someone puhleasssse take me back to Cabo?

Sites I’m Loving Right Now

August is breezing by too quickly and my to do list is quickly piling up, I guess that is what a real vacation will do. There hasn’t been time for as much cooking as normal, but there was a bit too much shopping…we’ve had event after event.

Have I told you about my online shopping obsession yet? I went to a mall to get a dress for a wedding and realized it was the first time I had been to a mall since Christmas!

When I lived in Los Angeles I’d just walk down the street to blocks of perfect stores {sigh}, but in Miami we have just one boutique I like close to my house.

Here are a few of the sites and designers I’m loving lately.

::: Clothing, Jewelry, Accessories :::

LYST – Social sharing site that links you to buy items. Follow items you pin, follow designers and bloggers. Purchase items I like with this link.

Summer Rolls ::: Peanut Sauce + Spicy Hoisin Dip

Shrimp Summer Rolls by KeelyMarie on

I love Asian influenced dishes.

I love fresh ingredients and healthier options.

I love dipping sauces.

This dish is obviously perfect to me! I was going to make these Sunday, but we were insanely hungover after my amazing bff’s (you might know her) engagement day/evening/all night party at the W in Ft. Lauderdale. Instead we were craving heartier things like these eggrolls that I am super jealous Sarah made.
