What better to do during a hurricane than make martinis (lots) and play scrabble? That was our weekend 2 weeks ago. I don’t think we ever finished our game. Or did we?
And even better to dream up brand new concoctions like a starfruit, grapefruit, strawberry, vodka and mint martini. Insane!
If you can get your hands on starfruit make these immediately. It is Friday after all. You’ll thank me.
And thanks to my love, Peter, for wipping this one up!
Ingredients
- 2 Starfruit, squeezed (about 2-3 ounces)
- 2 medium ruby red grapefruit, squeezed (about 2-3 ounces)
- 4 frozen strawberries
- 4 leaves of mint chopped
- 3 shots quality vodka, I always use Kettle One (4.5 ounces)
Instructions
In a martini shaker add 2-3 cubes of ice. Add all ingredients and shake for 15 seconds.
Pour in Martini glases to serve. Option to discard or use the frozen strawberries in the drink. They will give it a bit of flavor either way. Mint and/or starfruit slices can be used as a garnish.
